Project goals
Project goals
This project is born from the need of clear guidelines and organization of resources in the context of war and the seeking of refuge in a different place. Being a product involved deeply in the changing regulations and advance of the war itself the needs an priorities had to be taken into consideration constantly, improving and managing the goals in this environment and with a deep knowledge of the users invovled.

For this project we used a methodology reflecting the five stages of the Design Thinking method but with some adjustments related to the project needs like the relevance of the prototyping stage and the evolution of the navigation and design elements.

PROTOTYPE
The prototyping stage turns ideas from the previous phase into tangible solutions like screens, flows, and mock-ups, providing a preview of the final product before the validation phase.
1.Sketching process
2.Low-fi & Hi-fi wireframing

Empathize
In a project like this keep the users needs as a significant value is one of the most important aspects to consider, keeping track in the situations the product needs to solve and the needs and requirements this problems represent, One of the starting steps was to organize the main goals, resources and actors involved in this service.

With a known base to start with it’s time to select the involved users and profiles: who is our user? do we have different types of users? whats the main difference between them?
OWNER
The owners offers their homes or spaces for refuge through the site.

These three profiles became different sections inside the site, creating some microsites to assure a complete access to the section each user profile need without information that may not be useful to them.

With the defined profiles and the ‘must haves’ outlined is time to create the proper web structure, contemplating the relevance of each section, how they relate with each other and, at the same time, how they work independently.

Now that the low fidelity wireframes have been established, it’s a good opportunity to turn them into medium and high fidelity mockups. Now that we face this stage the quality of the content will be reviewed, iterated and adapted to better approach the users and the initial profiles.

Being specially based in information and clear instructions one of our main assets in the Design System of this site is the ‘input’ component, the text box where information is distributed. Because of this there’s a lot of attention going to the logic, messages and information this section provides and how it sends feedback to the users about what they’re doing.
